DFL CTPAT Participation

Diversified Freight Logistics has joined the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism program or CTPAT for short. This program has been adopted by the United States Government - in particular the Customs Border Protection Division of the new Homeland Security Administration. Our customers have made a similar commitment to participate in this program as well. In doing so the CTPAT participant is making a commitment to review the security procedures of each of their vendors involved in the flow of their international traffic. DFL is engaged in this review at this time. Our goal is to develop sound security controls in conjunction with our offshore locations, affiliates, partners and our customers.

Expeditors International, Inc., becomes Diversified Freight Logistics, Inc.

Due to years of confusion in the marketplace between our Company and a competitor with a similar name, we have chosen to change our name. Just having completed the process to make this name change with all Federal and State Government Agencies, we can designate July, 8, 1999, as the official date to conduct business as Diversified Freight. At that time please make the necessary changes in your data base to replace Expeditors International Inc with our new name as shown below.
 

All phone numbers and fax numbers will remain the same; however on July 8, 1999, our individual E-mail addresses will be the same except for the ending of @dflinc.com.

There has been no change in the corporate structure of the company. This is a simple name change. We appreciate your support during this transition, and please call if you have any questions.
